TINY STEP SILIGURI

Child Matters. Every Step Counts.

At Tiny Step, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, communicate and thrive. We aim to create an inclusive, compassionate and supportive environment where children are recognised for their individual strengths and supported in their learning and development.

A Place to Learn, Grow and Belong

Tiny Step brings together inclusive education and developmental support through two connected service areas: Tiny Step Inclusive School and Tiny Step Therapy Centre.

Every child is unique and learning does not follow the same path for everyone. Our aim is to create opportunities for meaningful learning, communication, participation, confidence and independence.

Every Child Deserves a Way to Learn

Education should adapt to children's learning needs rather than expect every child to learn in exactly the same way.

We use flexible teaching methods, visual aids, structured routines, hands-on activities, communication supports and individualised goals where appropriate, with respect for each child's pace and individuality.

How to Get Started

1

Parent Consultation

We listen to parents' concerns, understand the child's history and discuss the support they are seeking.

2

Developmental or Educational Assessment

An appropriately qualified professional reviews the child's abilities, needs and areas requiring support. Further assessment or referral may be recommended when appropriate.

3

Individualised Support Plan

Suitable educational goals, therapy objectives, accommodations and a review schedule are discussed with the family.

4

Intervention and Learning

The child receives the agreed educational or therapeutic support from the relevant professionals.

5

Progress Review

Progress is reviewed against individual goals, with feedback and suitable recommendations shared with parents.

Together, We Help Children Grow

Parents are an essential part of a child's developmental journey. We encourage parents to share concerns, ask questions, take part in goal-setting and practise suitable strategies at home when recommended by the child's professional team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Tiny Step have both a school and a therapy centre?

Yes. Tiny Step is planned as an initiative with an Inclusive School and a Therapy Centre, offering educational services and additional developmental support through separate but connected service areas.

Can my child attend school and receive therapy at the same centre?

Where the relevant services, staffing, and scheduling are available, children may be able to access both. The suitable arrangement depends on the child's needs and the services offered.

Does my child need an autism diagnosis to make an initial enquiry?

Not necessarily. The appropriate educational placement and therapeutic services depend on the child's individual needs, assessment, and applicable admission criteria.

Will my child receive individual attention?

We aim to understand each child's strengths and support needs and use suitable individualised goals and teaching strategies. The type and frequency of individual support depend on the child's plan and available resources.

How do I begin?

Contact our centre to arrange an initial discussion. Our team can explain the available services, assessment process, admission requirements, and next steps.
